Speaking during the interactive session, ACP Idowu Olanrewaju said: ‘I want to thank the PCRC for your support and contribution day in, day out. Prior to coming to Area F, I don’t associate with the PCRC but my arrival in Area F has changed that. The way they welcomed me was very fantastic. The office I am using today was built by PCRC. This is the seventh division I am touring and PCRC are not found wanting.’
‘I salute the LNSC for synergizing with the DPO you are fantastic. Do joint raids and patrols together. We are working toward the same goal. No superiority, all of us can’t be in military, customs, immigration, there is division of labour but we are still gearing to the same goal. I also thank the transport unions. No more okada union because okada is banned and stand banned, any division where I see okada, I will put the DPO on high jump.’
‘You are making your DPO Matilda successful especially if you are the DPO of where your overall Head has worked before. You are in trouble because he knows the in and out of the place so there is no lie you can tell that he will believe.’
‘As Police officers, we have to have shock absorber, the ability to take pressure that community will bring to you, ability to cross your t’s and dot your i’s’, ACP Olanrewaju charged officers in Ilupeju division.
Welcoming the Area Commander, the Vice Chairman of Odi-Olowo LCDA, Hon. Seyi Jakande noted: ‘The Area Commander, ACP Idowu Olanrewaju is one of us. I want to thank him. Our most important priority in Odi-Olowo LCDA is security and we are taking it seriously, it must work. Since our DPO came on board in 2017 there has been relative peace. There has not been any major breakdown of law and order. Our administration will continue to collaborate and support the Police.’
‘When you see something that is destructive, say it. Don’t say it doesn’t affect me. Even if you don’t save yourself, you are saving your community and helping the Police. The best of Police operations has to do with intelligence’, Hon. Jakande encouraged security stakeholders.
On his part, the PCRC Chairman, Ilupeju, Pastor Yomi Olajide remarked: ‘Ilupeju division is twice winner of the best police division and the station with model outlook. Our new CP, CP Adegoke Fayoade was once Ilupeju DPO. This division provides adequate security so that our people can sleep with their two eyes closed. The PCRC has supported with the provision of borehole, repairs and maintenance of things that spoil in the division. We are grateful to everyone who have been supporting us in Ilupeju division. We desire your continued support in Ilupeju division.’
