Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Command of Nigeria Police Force has put an end to the reign of terror by a notorious gang leader, Abubakar Idris (AKA Nishi), and his accomplices, Buhari Saidu and Musa Ahmadu Suleiman, responsible for the gruesome murder of Ibrahim Danfulani.

The incident, which took place on the 27th of November, 2024, was a direct result of Nishi’s seething frustration over Ibrahim’s intentions to marry a woman he, Nishi, had heavily invested in financially. Investigation revealed that the trio, armed with knives, brutally attacked Ibrahim Danfulani, resulting in his untimely death.

But that’s not all, the gang also stole 18 cows belonging to the victim as compensation for Nishi’s perceived losses.

The arrest is coming just after one week where one 32-year-old Nigerian gospel singer and fitness enthusiast, Oluwatimileyin Ajayi, popularly known as Timileyin, was arrested after he was caught with the severed head of his girlfriend in Nasarawa State.

Timileyin, who admitted killing and dismembering the girlfriend, Salome Adaidu, a 24-year-old corp member serving in Abuja over cheating and infidelities in his residence in Papalana area of New Karshi, Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, has been remanded in the custody of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Nasarawa State Police Command in Lafia.

In a statement issued to newsmen on Monday in Abuja, by the Command’s Spokesperson, the FCT Commissioner of Police, Tunji Disu was quoted as saying:

“In a dramatic turn of events, Abubakar Idris, who had fled the scene of the crime, was trailed and arrested in Nasarawa. He was caught while planning on recruiting new gang members to execute his sinister plot to return and kill the woman.

“The swift and coordinated efforts of the FCT Police Command, in collaboration with residents of the Agaita community in Karu, led to the successful arrest of all suspects, who are now in police custody and will face prosecution to ensure justice is served.”
