Just two months of assuming office, Edo State Governor, Send. Monday Okpebholo has continued his focused and decisive drive in putting the state on an upward and people oriented developmental surge.
In this regards, the Governor has continued on this trend, appointing capable and like minded individuals to drive his mantra of A New Edo Arising.A pres release from the Governor’s office today Tuesday 21 2025 reads:
It is hereby announced for the information of the General Public that the Govenor of Edo State, His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo has sworn in six (6) Commissioners into the State Executive Council.
The newly sworn in Commissioners and their portfolios are:
1. Hon. Paul Nosayaba Ohonbamu- Ministry of Information and Communications
2. Hon. Dr. Washington Osa Osifo- Ministry of Water Resources and Energy
3. Dr. Emmanuel Paddy Iyamu- Ministry of Education
4. Sir (Dr.) Lucky Eseigbe- Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs
5. Mr. Andrew Ijegbai- Ministry of Mining
6. Barr. Marie Olabisi Idaomi- Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development.
All Commissioners are expected to resume at their various Ministries with immediate effect.
