Wike commissions Yangoji-Sukuku-Ebo road – Tribune Online

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barr. Nyesom Wike, has commissioned the 11 km Yangoni-Sukuku to Ebo road.

Wike asked the enthusiastic villagers if they were pleased with the developments in their community and if they were satisfied with President Bola Tinubu.

In response to a request from the Kwaki Area Council chairman, Danladi Chiya, the minister promised to construct a new bridge across the Ebo River to connect the community with others, extending as far as Kuje.

Wike told the council chairman: “Because you have led your people we’ll, because you are supporting government and because your people are happy with you; let me tell you, the bridge is done.”

Wike told the people to support the government of President Tinubu as Tinubu’s government is out to benefit the people.

He also told them: “Mr. President told me that anything you want, you just ask me, and we will do it for you.

“You requested for the construction of this road during the stakeholders meeting. Here we are commission it, this is promise made and promise kept.”

Wike assured that the road is fitted with street lights. “This tells us that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s government is for the people, just be patient, you will benefit from this government.”

The minister also assured the people of Kwali that he was building another police station in the area council. He also thanked Gilmor, the construction company for refurbishing a primary school, providing a hand pump borehole and constructing a modern roundabout in the community.

The area council chairman, Danladi Chiya told the minister that his people were full of joy and happy with him and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for opening up their communities.

He said the road has enhanced the security situation of the area. He then requested that after all the very good things the minister has done, it would be complete if Ebo River, ahead is bridged. “If you construct that bridge, I will not ask for any other thing.”

Earlier, STDD Coordinator, Abdulkadir Zulkiflu said the road was a significant milestone in the life of Kwali people.

He said Wike has ensured that no community is left behind. He said the road would significantly improve the living standard of the largely agrarian people.

The road links other communities like Nite and Ebbo. When the Ebbo River is bridged, the road will extend to Kigbe and other communities as well as Kuje Area Council.
