Season 3 of the American legal drama television series The Lincoln Lawyer may have ended with a dramatic finale, but fans can now breathe a sigh of relief as Netflix officially renewed the series for a fourth season.

The announcement was made during the Next on Netflix event, confirming the return of Mickey Haller, played by Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, for another round of high-stakes courtroom battles.

The upcoming season, which will feature 10 episodes, is set to begin production in February and will adapt The Law of Innocence, the sixth book in Michael Connelly’s The Lincoln Lawyer series.

Fan favourites including Becki Newton (Lorna), Jazz Raycole (Izzy), and Angus Sampson (Cisco) will reprise their roles, while Neve Campbell (Maggie McPherson) is confirmed to appear in every episode.

Season 3 left viewers with several unanswered questions, particularly after its shocking ending involving the deaths of key characters and a tense moment with Mickey’s car trunk being opened by the police.

Speaking before the renewal, co-executive producer and co-showrunner Ted Humphrey teased, “As far as what it all means, hopefully, we will be able to show you in Season 4. But clearly, the only thing Mickey could be thinking is, ‘WTF?’”

While fans anticipate the new season, all three previous seasons of The Lincoln Lawyer are available for streaming on Netflix.
