Rep Yakubu seeks deeper cooperation with China

A member of the House of Representatives representing Bali/Gassol Federal Constituency, Jafar Yakubu, has embarked on a two-day official visit to Lagos to engage with Chinese representatives.

The discussions centred on attracting investment, advancing infrastructure development, and creating jobs to enhance economic growth both within his constituency and across Nigeria.

During the visit, Yakubu explored collaborative opportunities in key sectors such as agriculture, education, and infrastructure.

Accompanied by members of the Nigeria-China Bilateral Relations Committee, the delegation aimed to forge strategic partnerships with Chinese investors and companies.

Speaking about the visit, Yakubu emphasised its importance, stating, “This engagement provides an invaluable opportunity to strengthen ties with Chinese representatives and establish initiatives that will drive progress in Bali/Gassol and beyond. These partnerships are vital for economic transformation and sustainable development.”

The meetings are expected to yield significant outcomes, including improved infrastructure, enhanced employment opportunities, and long-term growth for communities within the Bali/Gassol Federal Constituency.
