Sanwo-Olu appoints new Lagos Electricity CEO, Temitope Georg


The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has appointed Temitope George as the Chief Executive Officer of the Lagos State Electricity Regulatory Commission.
This was disclosed in a statement released on Tuesday by the state Head of Service, Bode Agoro.
Agoro said the appointment is subject to confirmation by the state House of Assembly.
“It is hereby notified for general information that Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, the Governor of Lagos State, has approved the nomination of Mrs Temitope George for appointment as the Chief Executive Officer, Lagos State Electricity Regulatory Commission, subject to confirmation by the Lagos State House of Assembly,” the memo read.
The statement added that the appointment would take effect upon her confirmation by the Lagos State House of Assembly.
George is a seasoned legal, regulatory, and governance executive with over 20 years of experience advising governments, multinationals, and development institutions on energy, infrastructure, construction, and Public-Private Partnerships.
Before her appointment, she was the Lead Partner/Energy, Infrastructure and Policy Counsel at Adegbola-George & Co
She has led the structuring of large-scale infrastructure projects, secured regulatory approvals, negotiated complex commercial contracts, and ensured organisational compliance with national and international governance standards.
Her appointment is expected to strengthen LSERC’s leadership as Lagos State continues to implement policies aimed at improving the electricity sector.
