Enugu Governor’s Christmas Message Urges Peace and Love



The Governor of Enugu State, Peter Mbah, has called on Christians and Nigerians at large to embrace the virtues of peace, love, tolerance and sacrifice, describing them as the core values of the Christmas season.

Mbah made the call in a Christmas message released on Thursday to mark the celebration of Christmas Day.

He urged citizens to remain optimistic about the nation’s future, despite prevailing challenges.

“As we celebrate the joy and grace of Christmas, I extend my warmest greetings and heartfelt goodwill to all Christian faithful in Enugu State and across Nigeria,” the governor said.

According to him, Christmas serves as a reminder of enduring values that should guide individual and collective conduct.

“Christmas reminds us of the enduring values of love, peace, sacrifice, and hope,” he noted.

Governor Mbah expressed hope that the season would foster unity among Nigerians and inspire renewed commitment to nation-building.

“May the Holy Season further unite us, and may the coming year strengthen our resolve to build the future our children deserve,” he added.

He also wished the people of Enugu state, known as Ndi Enugu, and Nigerians nationwide a peaceful and hitch-free Christmas celebration.

Christmas is an annual festival observed on December 25, commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ.
