The duo of Nigerian radio personality and content creator, Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, popularly known as Nedu Wazobia, and ace comedian, Real Warri Pikin, have been unveiled as the official hosts of the second edition of the African Creators Summit, 2025.
The African Creators Summit, themed “Building a Sustainable Ecosystem: Content as a Tool,” according to Olufemi Oguntamu, a member of the summit’s advisory board, is a platform for innovation, collaboration, and empowerment.
He said, “Africa’s creative industry, valued at over $4 billion annually, is a vital driver of economic growth and job creation across the continent. The summit aims to explore the transformative power of content in driving growth across various industries and amplifying African voices on a global stage.
The two-day event will kick off with discussions on how content can impact various industries and also celebrate Africa’s rich culture and offer an opportunity for key influencers and industry leaders to connect and network.
Reflecting on last year’s success, which brought together over 1,000 attendees, the 2025 edition is poised to amplify these conversations, strengthen connections, and shape the future of Africa’s creative ecosystem.”
Speaking on the choice of the hosts, Oguntamu said, “Their chemistry and years of experience make them the perfect pair to guide conversations, foster connections, and ensure the summit is both impactful and enjoyable.
Anita Asuoha, popularly known as Real Warri Pikin, is one of Nigeria’s most celebrated female comedians and entertainers, renowned for her humour and vibrant personality. Nedu, a multifaceted radio personality, actor, and comedian, is widely recognised for his popular podcast, The Honest Bunch. Both Nedu and Real Warri Pikin are exceptional talents who understand how to entertain while engaging audiences meaningfully.”
The Summit, which is scheduled for January 23–24, 2025, at the Balmoral Event Centre, Lagos, promises to bring together Africa’s brightest creators, industry leaders, and innovators for two days of insightful conversations and cultural celebration.
