Anthony Joshua pens tribute to friends lost in car crash

Former world heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua, has posted a heartfelt tribute to his two friends who died in a tragic car crash in Nigeria last month, sharing his grief on Instagram.
Joshua, who was a passenger in the vehicle and survived the December 29 accident in Ogun State, expressed sorrow and gratitude for the support shown to the families of his friends, Sina Ghami and Latif “Latz” Ayodele.
In his post on Thursday, the former world heavyweight champion shared his shock at their loss and highlighted their immense value as individuals.
He wrote, “Thank you for all the love and care you have shown my brothers. I didn’t even realise how special they are. I’ll just be walking with them and cracking jokes with them, not even knowing God kept me in the presence of great men.”

He expressed how tough their passing has been for him and their families, saying, “100% it’s tough for me, but I know it’s even tougher for their parents. I have a strong mind, and I believe God knows their hearts. May God have mercy on my brothers.”
PUNCH Online reports that Joshua recently recounted the tragic deaths of two of his close friends in an emotional conversation with UFC star Kamaru Usman.
He expressed how their deaths “haven’t sunk in,” saying, “One was in the front, and one was behind him, on the right side. They both passed away. It still hasn’t sunk in. It still hasn’t hit me yet.”
