Axel Disasi returns to Chelsea first-team training

Chelsea defender Axel Disasi has returned to first-team training, club coach Liam Rosenior confirmed.
Disasi, who joined Chelsea from Monaco on a six-year contract, fell out of favor under former coach Enzo Maresca.
Reports by PUNCH Online noted that both Disasi and Raheem Sterling were forced to train separately after failing to secure moves away from Stamford Bridge before the transfer deadline.
According to a post by football journalist Fabrizio Romano on Tuesday, Rosenior said: “I had a really good meeting with him. I said to the players that it’s a clean slate for everybody, and it was right for me to chat with him. He’s behind in terms of his fitness, and we’ll work with him.”
The 26-year-old French defender had been absent from full training for a period, and Rosenior indicated that the coaching staff would work closely with him to restore his match fitness and reintegrate him into the squad.
Chelsea will monitor his progress carefully ahead of upcoming Premier League fixtures, aiming to have him back in contention once fully fit.
Rosenior’s confirmation marks a positive step for Disasi, who is now working to return to full fitness and regain hiplace in Chelsea’s starting lineup.
